Last weekend was a low key weekend. I was (and still am) feeling a little under the weather with some cold symptoms so we didn’t venture out too much. On Saturday morning, we went downtown to State Street to get “Sta-buks” and check out an athletic store that was going was going out of business (Daddy wanted to check out the deals). We didn’t buy anything, but I got to see the “cows” at State Street Brats on the walk down and played a little while we did some other shopping before lunch and nap.
On Sunday, I helped Mommy make some banana streusel muffins after church. On a few of the muffins, I think I put on a little too much streusel topping, as some of it melted over into the oven. But don’t worry, Mommy got everything clean.
I’m 32 weeks this week – can you believe it?! As I get ready for my big debut, I’m now tipping the scales at almost four pounds and topping out at just about 19 inches. In these past few weeks, it’s been practice, practice, practice as I’m refining the skills I’ll need to thrive outside Mommy’s tummy — from swallowing and breathing to kicking and sucking. And even though I am still weeks away from D-day, I’m looking more and more like a newborn: as more and more fat accumulates under my skin, it’s becoming less transparent and more opaque. Mommy’s belly is still rapidly expanding too, and it’s getting harder and harder for her to bend over to pick up my big brother Brady, his toys, and when he drops something (as her tummy now hits her legs before she’s fully bent over)! It seems to work out okay for my big brother Brady though, he likes to use “me” (aka Mommy’s tummy) as a comfy headrest or pillow!
